In order to make your procedure as stress free as possible, you will have the opportunity to speak with our trained staff prior to having your procedure scheduled. You will either be seen by Dr. Thomas or a Registered Nurse to get all the information you will need, including all instructions for your procedure. During this appointment you will be walked through your entire procedure from start to finish and will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is a procedure used to see inside the colon and rectum. Colonoscopy can detect inflamed tissue, ulcers, and abnormal growths. The procedure is used to look for early signs of colorectal cancer and can help doctors diagnose unexplained changes in bowel habits, abdominal pain, bleeding from the anus, and weight loss.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is a test to examine the lining of the esophagus (the tube that connects your throat to your stomach), stomach, and first part of the small intestine. It is done with a small camera (flexible endoscope) that is inserted down the throat.

Flexible sigmoidoscopy is a procedure used to see inside the sigmoid colon and rectum. Flexible sigmoidoscopy can detect inflamed tissue, abnormal growths, and ulcers.
